Whether you are a pediatrician, school counselor, psychologist, educator or school administrator, you may have parents come to you with questions about their child related to:

  • School anxiety
  • Vision/ hearing difficulties (AFTER vision/ hearing screenings revealed no physical problem with eyes/ ears)
  • Difficulties with attention span/ attentiveness/ impulsivity (these conditions can be ADD/ ADHD, but are also a product of dyslexia)

These symptoms may be the result of a manifesting learning disability.  Many parents begin with their child’s teacher or primary care physician for advice on learning and social difficulties; explore the resources and research on this website to assist parents with early intervention and offer guidance towards an appropriate clinical diagnosis.
